Oils and clarified butter for skin care-

Natural oils- Coconut oil, Olive oil, Almond oil, Sesame oil, Apricot oil, Jojoba oil, Castor oil, Cow’s ghee

Ayurvedic oils- Kumkumadi tailam, Chandan bala lakshadi tailam, Chandanadi tailam, Eladi tailam, Shatdhout ghritam and many more

For skin care use-In the morning, wash your face and take few drops of warm or room temperature oil (either solid or liquid), on your palm. Then, rub your palms together and onto the skin of the desired area. Massage onto clean skin for 2 minutes in correct movements.

Herbs for skin care-

Single herbs- Yastimadhu (Licorice), Manjistha (Indian madder), Khadira (Acacia catechu), Mustha (nut grass), Lodhra (Symplocos bark), Haridra (Turmeric), Chandan (Sandalwood), Haritaki, Amalki, Vibhitaka (All three together known as Triphala), Shatavari (Indian Asparagus), Sunthi (Dry ginger), Kumari (Aloe Vera)

Ayurvedic Classical preparations- Kumkumadi lepam, Mukhadooshikari lepam

All these herbs can be used individually or in combination as facewash, face scrubs, body scrubs, body packs and face packs.

For skincare use-Make a paste by adding rose water or milk. Apply it all over your body and let it dry for 5-10 some time. Once the paste is dry, scrub it off gently and take bath with normal water or cold water. Modify the recipe according to normal, oily or dry skin. This can be done once or twice per week.
